Summary of the Introduction to RHeaDHy test matrix

29/08/2025

To achieve the RHeaDhy project’s goals, an extensive test campaign will be conducted. This document details the tests envisioned for test campaign and offers the industry and public an opportunity to review the test campaigns outline. RHeaDHy consortium welcomes feedback on both the overall approach and the specific test details or test conditions.

The main goals of this test campaign are to:

  • Demonstrate high-flow refuelling with the RHeaDHy equipment
  • Characterize the equipment developed within the project
  • Ensure RHeaDHy KPI are met
  • Map station performance
  • Provide feedback on high-flow refuelling protocols to the industry
  • Provide public access to test results to support research and innovation
  • Support the hydrogen heavy-duty mobility industry

Summary of Deliverable D6.6

Today, trucks, buses and coaches are responsible for more than 25% of the greenhouse gases emissions from road transport in the European Union (EU) and for over 6% of total EU greenhouse gases emissions. RHeaDHy project aims to support the reduction of transportation emissions by enabling the development of hydrogen heavy-duty vehicles (HDV) refueling infrastructure. In this deliverable, RHeaDHy partners used their respective experience and work to share recommendations to the heavy-duty hydrogen mobility industry. In this deliverable, the RHeaDHy project goals and current progress are explained, recommendations for the design of high-flow stations and vehicles are formulated, and more general guidelines and advice for the development of high-flow refueling hydrogen ecosystem are provided.
