New H2 line

Global supplier of hydrogen storage tanks and systems, FORVIA operates four production plants across Europe and Asia, pioneering advanced hydrogen storage solutions for mobility, transport, and distribution. The Group supports the rise of hydrogen technology by offering a comprehensive range of lightweight composite cylinders and complete hydrogen storage systems.

As part of the RHeadHy project, our teams have developed the tank storage test system (TSTS) that meets the required high-performance allowing reliable hydrogen fast refueling. It concentrates our specialized know-how in designing and manufacturing pressured Type IV composite tanks as well as our capability to define and enhance a complete storage system architecture through fluid mechanics and thermal studies.

The resulting tank storage test system incorporates six FORVIA-developed Type IV composite cylinders, which design was initially engineered for heavy-duty mobility applications. These tanks offer optimized storage capacity, a lightweight composite solution, and are fully equipped to meet the demanding needs of the sector.
